We ordered 2 LaZBoy recliners and 2 LaZBoy sofas with recliners on March 3, 2012. We paid for all of the items at the time of purchase (our mistake).

I noticed when I got home (2nd mistake) the date on the order form said April 8. Approximately 2 weeks later I called to see if anything was in and was told the recliners were in the Wisconsin warehouse and could be to the store in Benton Harbor the next week. I asked if they could do that so we could pick them up and that was no problem, they should be in the next week from WI. I called the next week and was told they would be in the next Friday and we should call to make sure the bases were put on the recliners.

I called that Friday morning and was told they were in, and would probably have the bases on before noon. I then called about 1pm to see if they were done and could be picked up and was told yes. We picked those up with no problem, other than I had to make all contact.

I asked about our couches a week later and was told they had no word on them.

I have called or gone in every week since and last week was finally told that one of the two couches ordered was in WI, but they had no word on the other couch. I asked last week and the salesman thought the second couch should be to WI, but they had no word on it yet. I called today and was told the 2nd couch should be in the WI warehouse on Monday, April 16 and the other couch was STILL in WI. She said they could both be in the local warehouse maybe Tuesday, the 17th and if they were they could be delivered the 18th or maybe the 20th.

SERIOUSLY!! These were not special orders, no special fabric. I cannot believe it takes this long to get furniture. I have had to instigate every phone call.

Is this how all furniture stores do business? This is the first time we have every bought new living room furniture and I can guarantee that we will NEVER buy from this store again. I am so disappointed by the service we have received. I cannot stress enough how disappointed we are.

They have their money - we want our furniture!! Almost 7 weeks!

I think that's a bit ridiculous.

Really your complaining because they didnt call you and update you constantly. If they did that they would always be on the phone updating every customer that orders something not in stock.

And if you had to wait a little bit for something its because they didnt have it in stock in their warehouses and had to order it themselves and wait for it to be made if the manufacturer didnt have one in stock. I work in a furniture warehouse and this is fairly normal. Usually we can get things in within a week or less but some things take longer. Most furniture is made overseas now so you have to take into consideration being shipped in a boat across an ocean tgen going through customs.

If customs wants to they can hold items for 6the months. Use your head

I also ordered from slumberland and now Iโ€™m being told that it will be six months at least before I will get me sofa!!! Yes I expected some delay but this is just poor service and slumberland should be ashamed of their horrible customer service! Iโ€™m sitting in a new home without a place to sit!!!

Ordered a Lazy-boy sectional sofa from Slumberland in February 2012. Still waiting for it 16 weeks later.
